We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and enjoyed a New Years holiday break. The What The Fat? team have some exciting plans for 2018 – but first, let’s hear from Caryn, Grant and Craig on their highlights from 2017.
Grant ‘The Fat Professor‘ Schofield’s Highlights;
The highlights of the year for me were:
- The completion of the manuscript for What the Fast? – watch this space early 2018!
- The same thing that has been happening for the past few years now – doing community talks and then meeting strangers who have picked up a copy of What the Fat? and made big changes to their life. Here’s an example of a typical comment I receive; “Hi there…I read What The Fat? and lost 35 kg, I got my life back, sorted my diabetes, and it’s awesome!” Every time I receive one of these comments it makes my month!
Happy new year everyone, and I hope you are all looking forward to / have already had a bit of time away from work and responsibilities.
Like a lot of people, I like to take stock of things at this time of year and reflect on the events of the past 12 months. 2017 has brought a lot of changes but it is 2018 year that I am really excited about.
One of the first exciting plans I have for 2018 is the lecture I’ll be giving at the 5th International Symposium on Corneotherapy (the science of healthy skin) at Sky City in a few weeks time. My topic is food based for obvious reasons – “living foods” and how they affect the gut microbiome. You can find out more about the Symposium here.
I’m also looking forward to getting back to work on creating plenty of awesome LCHF recipes focusing on nutritious, irresistible whole foods that I know you will love to make at home, as well as share with friends and family.
Here’s to a healthy, happy 2018.
Caryn ‘The Whole Food Dietitian’ Zinn’s Highlights’
2017 has been filled with so many highlights, but I want to tell you about one of them, which was a simple comment from a renowned colleague from the US (and best-selling author) who is one of the biggest advocates and activists for US dietary guidelines change.
Her comment was that she thought our What The Fat? book is the best of all the low carb books out there.
Needless to say I was floored and flattered at the same time. It made me reflect on how proud I am of our book, and of our LCHF community (i.e. YOU people) in helping to achieve the goal we set out to do – share the whole food LCHF message to the masses in a safe and sustainable way.
Our WTF? team is still as excited as ever to continue our plight and we have lots more exciting initiatives to bring in 2018. Hope you all had a merry Christmas, and an enjoyable start to the new year.
